i never believed i would see stats like that

we had worst activity ever, since i came to faction. i hope we can work it out somehow

A big factor is that people aren't afraid to attack us any longer, so we are having to pick and choose which fights to make, and we are having tougher fights on top of it all. Before we rarely ever had 2 wars going at once, or if we did it was entirely likely that one or both of our opponents wrote off the war and had already given up. Destroying opponent morale is important.

If we write off a war and they go to town on us, then we get a situation like last week where MoM went 19816 vs our 3880. Wars that we write off do a serious number on our overall net point stats. Given that, it is not too surprising that our net points were negative this week.

I don't think we should punish people for this week's poor score since it was a holiday and all that stuff that happened.

Why do I suddenly get kicked?

I announced that I would not be on for about half of the week because of the holiday, and while my performance in past stat collections has not been at the top, I have been doing pretty average. I have also not received a warning about my performance, like other members.

I don't mind a warning if thats really what you want to do, but I deserve at least that since I'd never had one before.

Yah. Acid deserves to be reinstated I'd say. That could just as easily have been me last week when my internet was down for several days. I still have mini-outages but they only last 30 min or so which is just annoying, not wall-to-head inducing traumas.

About statistics in general perhaps when evaluating net points and what-not we should exclude wars that we totally write off. Those unnecessarily weight our performance via defense decks, and honestly in those fights that we don't even attempt it doesn't matter if you lost 1000 vs 100, the battle was decided beforehand. If someone has a weak def deck it will still show through on fights that we actually attempt.

Hmm, I agree with this notion, but then we should define what a 'write off' is? Say 1000, 2000 or 3000 point lose?

I figure since kfsw is compiling the stats he possibly could figure which ones we specifically were ordered not to partake in since those instructions are usually in forum chat log. So perhaps any war that we gave up on with >3 hrs remaining?

The wars that we gave up on just really don't paint an accurate picture. In the MoM war for example, some people's defenses got tested more than 20 times, whereas others got hit only 8. With enemies surging that can make a huge difference on your comparative net point totals. Also if we are going to be doing statistics more often then the results will be much more swingy and less reliable especially given there can be a >150% difference in how often your defense gets cooked just on sheer randomness. I'm not opposed to shorter durations between stats, but it should be understood that those numbers will be less meaningful and even further leniency should be considered. Having 2 bad days out of a week snapshot is understandable, but 2 bad days out of a 3 day snapshot makes it look horrible.

1. kicking acidfree was my terrible mistake. i'm very sorry for destroying your lp. of course you should get back to faction. last day was very long for me (mostly cause of tyrant), i had the pressure to do the stats and i was finishing them 10 minutes before going to sleep.
2. like clikml noticed, we should get used to stats that half of us does negative points. i will think about new system that will show real activity, but its quite hard to think about one. if you have any ideas, write them on forums or pm me.

Ya I mean thanksgiving weekend... these stats should be thrown out.

Another thing you might consider tracking is net points TOTAL, combined for every stat period we have recorded. Then you really know if people are having good weeks, bad weeks, and/or improving or declining and generally you would be able to tell at what rate.

Yea these stats are basically defense only for most people though, so it really just shows who needs to change their defenses (me) lol And we got attacked by the #1 faction a couple of times some people got hit way harder than others in those.

Also in light of how poorly my defense performed I have changed from a strike defense to my version of SC slowroll. It is as follows 3x SC, BoD, Vigil, Elemental, Gorivore, Rifter, Nimbus, Stealthy Niaq. This is also my current surge deck although sometimes I will replace Rifter and Nimbus with two Pathrazers.

I agree with what several people have stated. This was thanksgiving weekend. This entire data sheet should be thrown out, and no action should have been taken on it's results. I know I personally put in about 1/4 of the time I usually do because I was out of town with family. Instead, we kicked several members just when we need as many people in the faction as possible. Bad move.

I can see this might be a holiday in US.
We don't have thanksgiving in Norway, and i'm not sure about the rest of the Europe.
We might of course have other holidays than you have.

Giving that is is thanksgiving, dosen't change a thing. Members from other faction is celebrating also, and they are also weaker at this point.
